This is the first of the Saturday Summaries that I will be sending out, once a week, to Intelligent Betting members to let them know how things have gone and, more importantly, how things are going.
We’ve had a stonking week with the System Selections.
Starting with the first of our selections, last Saturday, winning at 12.0 BSP.
I’ve still got to add the BSP numbers for yesterday but…
We got 3 winners from the 7 selections bringing back 12.50 points to ISP to the 7 points staked.
Can’t complain about that.
I have some articles, about my and Roy’s take on horse racing that we would like to share every Wednesday morning.
These won’t be sales emails – just a sharing of what we have learned over the years.
There have been some changes to Intelligent Betting;
With more on their way.
I thought that I would take this opportunity to explain to the Free members how these changes will affect them.
As you will have noticed recently, Roy has been working very hard to come up with a new system to replace the original system.
The new system gives…
1). More winners (always nice)
2). Higher priced winners (a 12.0 BSP winner on the 6th of March)
3). More selections (the original strategy could go days without a selection) and
4). Less reliance on Irish racing.
Betting to level stakes he has had the success shown below…
From his start on the 20th of February he has doubled his bank (in just 2 weeks and 3 days.)
Just for March, by betting to £10 stakes (with a betting bank of £200) he has made a profit of £217.50 in just 10 days.
We are both equally amazed by this system which is based on Focus Ratings R8 ratings; these are those horses that are top rated by two independant and completely different ratings agencies (Focus Ratings and Advance Ratings.)

I have also been working on a System Builder for Intelligent Betting.
It’s not quite finished but it will allow members (both free and paid) to develop systems and, for the paid members, get the selections emailed to them automatically every morning.
If you try to use it, at the moment it will display an error message but this shouldn’t be too difficult for me to fix.
I anticipate that the System Builder will be finished some time next week.
RSR (Really Simple Ratings) are available for all races; free members only used to get the first race of each meeting.
Paid members get these emailed to them (as a PDF) every morning.
I have started work on an Expert Ratings PDF file.
This will display all possible information (such as Unique Jockey/Trainer, Change in Trainer, Change in Class, Horse Going Form and so forth) for every horse in every race in one single PDF file.
Paid members will get this emailed to them every morning.
I hope that this explains how the site is evolving.

When I first started getting interested in Horse Racing Ratings...
The very first system that I came up with was based upon a horse's number of wins and places in its last 5 races.
It became the initial basis for Focus Ratings and is the fundamental basis for our own Really Simple Ratings (available for free to logged in free or full members.)
To show you what I mean, I took a database extract of the last 5 year's data.
On Monday I was supposed to be working on Distance Travelled but, something popped up.
Now, I know that Distance Travelled is going to be very important to us but...
This new thing could be even more important.
You see, Roy emailed me to let me know that one of our top rated RSR (Really Simple Ratings) horses had just won at an incredible price.
Windsor - 13:40 - Arboy Will won at 150/1 - 334.75 BSP

Arboy Will had a Forecast Price (my Forecast Price) at 9am of 33/1.
So, I had no choice to drop everything to investigate what happens to top rated horses which have a high Forecast Price.
